Lithium Battery Repair Method

Lithium batteries are now widely used in mobile cameras, balance cars, new energy vehicles and so on.

However, we often encounter the situation of lithium battery feigning death when using lithium battery! The fake death of lithium battery is generally divided into three cases.

First, the battery can not be charged at all, neither the charger nor the consumer can be identified, and the electrode has no voltage.

Second, it can be charged, and the charger and electrical appliance can also be identified, but it can only last for a few minutes, and the power is rapidly exhausted.

Third, it can be charged with sufficient capacity, but the high current discharge voltage drops significantly (for example, the camera shooting mode can only last for a few minutes, while the look back mode can last for a long time)

In fact, in the above three cases, the battery seems to be "dead", but there is also a high probability that it can be saved. The method summarized by the inventor of battery repair patent xuchanghong is:

Step 1: charge the battery with a DC current equal to the design voltage of the battery. Sometimes, the "dead" battery cannot be charged with the original charger. However, if you charge the battery with a DC current equal to the design voltage of the battery, you will find that there is a relatively large current, and the charging current will slowly decrease. After a few minutes, it will be close to 0, and the battery voltage is returning to the design level. Then use a multimeter to measure the two poles of the battery, and the normal voltage appears!

Step 2: use the original charger to charge the battery. In order to fully activate the battery, it needs to be charged and discharged for many times. The discharge circuit is composed of a resistor and a light-emitting diode, and the discharge state can be estimated by the light-emitting diode.

This method has obvious repair effect on the lithium battery in the first case, but it is not ideal for the battery in the latter two cases.
