Standing Out With Energy Storage | Optimumnano Delivers 1.1MWh System To The Indian Ocean
Leave a message

On October 18, Optimumnano successfully delivered a 630kW/1.1MWh integrated energy storage system to a customer in Mauritius. This delivery represents far more than a single export order - it marks a significant milestone in the global expansion of Chinese energy storage enterprises, demonstrating the growing international recognition of advanced Chinese battery and energy storage technologies.
Mauritius, located in the southwest Indian Ocean, enjoys abundant sunshine and wind resources. However, without domestic fossil fuel reserves, the country has long been dependent on imported fuels, leaving its energy security vulnerable. In recent years, the government has been pushing forward renewable energy strategies, planning several "solar + storage" projects to build a more independent and sustainable power system.
Yet renewable energy comes with natural volatility and intermittency. How to ensure stable electricity supply at night, during cloudy days, or at peak demand hours? Energy storage provides the key solution.

The system delivered by Optimumnano features its self-developed 38121-15Ah LiFePO4 cells, which offer high safety, long cycle life, and outstanding efficiency. With advanced coating and conductive additive technologies, as well as strict cell consistency screening, the system ensures both stability and reliability. It also demonstrates strong flexibility and practicality:Flexibility: Supports multiple charging and discharging modes, including constant current, constant voltage, and constant power. It can intelligently adjust to grid conditions and quickly respond to emergencies.Practicality: Designed with modular architecture for easy transportation, installation, and future expansion. The built-in BMS with active balancing continuously monitors battery status, extends system life, and enhances overall performance.
The Mauritius project is not only a commercial success, but also a showcase of Optimumnano's full value chain strength-from R&D and manufacturing to installation and operation & maintenance. It highlights the transition of Chinese energy storage companies from simply exporting cells to providing comprehensive energy solutions worldwide. As global energy transition accelerates, island nations like Mauritius are at the frontier of renewable energy adoption. Optimumnano's delivery not only helps ease local energy shortages, but also provides a replicable model of green energy development for other island and developing countries.
